In scenes set to air on the ITV soap next week, Bethany struggles to come to terms with being fitted with a stoma bag.
She decides to attend her support group, but it’s clear that she has lied to group leader Dawn about the operation that resulted in the stoma.
Later on, Sarah shows Bethany a news article stating that the Turkish clinic she used has botched another liposuction operation.
Meanwhile, Debbie shows off her new convertible to Kevin, but her mood changes when Bethany mentions suing the Turkish clinic for yet another botched operation.

Adam advises Bethany and Sarah to demand compensation from a director of the Turkish clinic, who happens to live in the UK.
However, when he reveals the director’s name, they’re all stunned. Who has something to hide?
Previously speaking about the storyline, Bethany Platt actor Lucy Fallon said: “Obviously this is really hard-hitting, which is exciting from an actor’s point of view, but it does come with quite a lot of pressure and responsibility to get it right because this happens to real life people.
“The storyline is also incredibly important as there’s countless horror stories out there of people talking about their experiences of cosmetic surgery abroad. I really hope this storyline can make people rethink going abroad for cosmetic surgery.”
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
