Max and Lauren have lied about sleeping together in Coronation Street.
The soap has hinted at a renewed romantic spark between the former couple, though they may also be hiding something involving Joel Deering’s demise.
With Lauren now a suspect in Joel’s murder, Max has rallied around Lauren even more — leaving her love interest Bobby Crawford feeling left out.
In Monday’s (October 21) episode, Bobby suspected that Max and Lauren were hiding something when he found them together No.8.
The young pair insisted they weren’t ghosting Bobby, though he could tell they were keeping something important from him.

Lauren seemingly made up an excuse on the spot, spinning a story about how she’d slept with Max after realising they were developing feelings for each other again.
“I know you have feelings for me,” Lauren apologetically told Bobby.
Max and Lauren were both in tears as Bobby left, hinting they were concealing a bigger secret. Bobby was understandably heartbroken by the confession, yet later he assured Max there were no hard feelings and wished the potential couple well.
Max denied that he was planning to date Lauren because she wasn’t in the right place for a romantic relationship. However, Bobby told his friend he was kidding himself because Lauren clearly had feelings for Max.
Later, at the hospital, Dee-Dee visited Lauren with some devastating news about their plans to live together.

After finding an old love note from Joel in her cupboard, Dee-Dee realised it would be too traumatic to have Lauren and Frankie live with her and, thus, rescinded her offer.
