Coronation Street star Jacob Roberts has reportedly split from his girlfriend of five years.
The Kit Green actor joined the ITV soap earlier this year, and soon the bent copper was revealed to be the estranged son of series regular Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove).
Since then the character has become central to three huge storylines; the development of his relationship with his birth family amid brother Paul Foreman’s (Peter Ash) motor neurone disease battle, the disappearance and subsequent return of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) and the murder of Joel Deering (Calum Lill).
We also saw him drive Beth Tinker (Lisa George) out of Weatherfield when she uncovered his dodgy ways.
It now seems that the 33 year old has split with his girlfriend of 5 years, PR executive Amy Harris.
Earlier in the year, he fuelled speculation by removing all photos of her from his Instagram feed, something which she has now reciprocated.
The pair were often pictured together on social media.
Prior to joining the cobbles-based soap, Jacob’s breakout role was as Damon Kinsella in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks – a part he played for six years.

In a recent interview, Jacob spoke about his character Kit’s exciting months ahead: ‘Kit’s priority is to get down to the bottom of who killed Joel,’ he explained. ‘He knows someone is lying, everyone is acting shifty on the street and there’s a few potential culprits.’
‘Kit usually likes to take the law into his own hands in order to get justice so I think we will see him do the investigation how he believes is right,’ he added.
‘Kit likes to justify his bad behaviour to get what he wants and if he can get the culprit at the end of it, I think he’ll turn a blind eye to how he gets the end result.’
