Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Betsy Swain received a new threat on Coronation Street after Carla Connor was attacked at the factory.

Betsy has been pressured by Logan and Matty Radcliffe, the brother of Mason, lately, with the duo cornering her during Friday’s (November 22) episode as they attempted to intimidate the teenager.

Wishing for Mason to be free from his brothers, Betsy cut a deal with the pair – in exchange for his safety, she would give the boys free rein to steal what they like from Carla’s factory.

First she had to ensure that she still had a job, with Monday’s (November 25) episode beginning as she frostily approached Carla, who has been in an on-off relationship with Betsy’s mother, Lisa.

Carla confirmed that Betsy was still employed despite their tense relationship, giving the teenager an opportunity to steal a pair of keys as the heist plan came into motion.

She subsequently informed Logan and Matty that all things were ready to go, but the plan hit a snag as Carla returned to work as Betsy attempted to open the doors from the inside. Just as she thought she was in the clear, Betsy’s phone went off, with Carla searching the room.

She got a lucky break, however, with Carla being whisked away to the pub as Lisa asked to meet to tell her things between them were truly over. This gave Betsy the chance to let Logan and Matty into the factory, with the pair having to act quickly before Carla returned.

They didn’t act quickly enough, however, with a heartbroken and tearful Carla entering as the brothers hid behind the door. A nervous Logan panicked and bashed Carla over the head, with Matty shocked as she lay on the floor.

Betsy met with Mason and explained that she had placated his brothers, though he expressed doubts after saying that “nothing ever ends well” with Logan and Matty. They then saw Carla being treated in the ambulance, with Betsy soon receiving an ominous text from the brothers.

As the group met, Betsy chastised the pair for harming Carla before reminding them about the need to leave Mason be, though Logan and Matty threatened Betsy into silence by indicating they would take her down should she let slip about the incident.

Carla left the ambulance and returned to the factory, but Betsy later discovered her motionless. Betsy then told Lisa that Carla had been rushed to hospital, where it was revealed that she had a bleed on the brain; will Betsy be able to live with her conscience?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
