Coronation Street spoilers follow from Monday’s episode (November 25), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
Coronation Street‘s David Platt has agreed to welcome baby Frankie into his family home.
David succumbed to pressure from his stepson Max Turner in Monday’s episode, promising to help Lauren Bolton if necessary.
Last week, Lauren asked Max and the Platts to take care of her young son if she doesn’t secure permission to raise him in the prison’s mother and baby unit.
Max told David that he wanted them to agree to Lauren’s request, but David was initially horrified and pointed out the various practicalities involved.

In the latest visit to Weatherfield, Lauren faced a nervous time as she met with the Mother and Baby Admissions Board alone.
Lauren begged the Board not to take Frankie away from her, but she struggled to articulate her arguments.
Fortunately, Dee-Dee Bailey soon joined the meeting at the last minute after Max had asked her to support Lauren.
Dee-Dee put forward a strong case for Frankie to be allowed to stay with his mother, leaving Lauren grateful for her ongoing support.

Later, back at the Platt house, David and his wife Shona finally gave Max the positive news that he’d been hoping for.
Shona explained: “We’ve had a talk and you’re right – none of this is Frankie’s fault and we want Lauren to feel like she’s got people looking out for her.”
David chimed in: “So, next time you speak to her, you can let her know that we’ll have Frankie stay here with us – if, of course, social services are on board. I shouldn’t think it’d be a problem that they’d let someone from our family take a baby in!”
Lauren was locked up last week after confessing to the police that she was the one who struck the fatal blow that killed Joel Deering.
In upcoming episodes, viewers will discover whether Frankie is moving in with the Platts or if Lauren’s bid to keep him by her side was successful.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
