EastEnders airs shock Kojo and Cindy incident in iPlayer release

EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s episode (November 26), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

EastEnders has aired a shocking incident between Kojo Asare and Cindy Beale in the show’s latest episode.

This week, Elaine and George’s wedding was thrown into doubt when George discovered that his fiancée had asked Cindy to set a honey trap for him to see where his heart really lies.

After he confronted Elaine about her secret scheme, George said that he couldn’t marry her, and Elaine was left devastated.

In today’s episode, the wedding was officially called off. Junior, who’s recently had an affair with Cindy, was surprised to find out what his former lover had done.

George admitted to his son that he’d told Cindy he would always love her. Junior reminded him that Cindy is toxic, and it wasn’t real love – trying his best to hide why he was so bothered about the situation.

Encouraged by his son, George rushed to make amends with Elaine, who was about to leave Walford – and the reunited pair decided to get married after all.

The extravagant ceremony went without a hitch – though at the church, Cindy looked visibly unhappy that her true love had decided to go through with the wedding.

In The Vic afterwards, Linda gave a rather honest speech to celebrate the happy couple, and Phil was concerned to find out that she was drinking heavily again.

Meanwhile, Cindy returned home, and Junior sneaked off to see her. He told her that she would always love danger and needed a thrill within her regular life.

The pair decided to rekindle their affair, and kissed passionately.

Kojo found the celebrations in The Vic too loud, so left to get some air. He spotted Cindy and Junior sharing a kiss outside, and Cindy realised that she’d been spotted.

Cindy tried to convince Kojo that she and Junior were just friends, but he made it clear that “I don’t like it, and I don’t like you.”

Cindy followed Kojo through the Square and up a fire escape, wanting him to keep what he’d seen to himself, and the pair ended up in a tense struggle.

While trying to bat Cindy away, Kojo fell over the railings, and Cindy could only watch in horror as he lay motionless on the ground.

Will Kojo be okay?

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
