EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders‘ Cindy and Ian Beale are set to clash in next week’s episodes, as her affair with Junior Knight continues.
Recently, Cindy convinced Bobby to leave the Square after he walked in on his girlfriend Anna and best mate Freddie kissing.
In scenes set to air next week, Cindy encourages Anna to pursue things with Freddie, and the two go off birdwatching together – although only as friends for now.

When they head to The Vic afterwards, Ian glares at them disapprovingly. He voices his belief that the two of them caused Bobby to leave, which Cindy doesn’t agree with, and she heads off.
Back at home, she quickly makes her excuses to go to Beale’s Eels, meeting up with Junior for another steamy encounter. Just after they finish, Ian arrives.
Junior plans to spend more alone time with Cindy, and the two decide to head to a hotel for another round.
How long can they keep their affair a secret?

Meanwhile, the soap’s executive producer Chris Clenshaw announced yesterday that he was stepping down from the role, with former story editor Ben Wadey set to take over the show in February 2025 after the show’s 40th anniversary and special live episode.
In a statement, Clenshaw said: “As a proud EastEnders fan, it has been the honour of my life to be its custodian. It has meant everything to me, and I’ve given Walford my all.”
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
