EastEnders’ Cindy gets a surprising proposal in iPlayer release

EastEnders spoilers follow for Thursday’s episode (November 21), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

EastEnders’ Cindy Beale has been recruited by Elaine Peacock for a secret plan, in the show’s latest episode.

Elaine has become concerned ahead of her and George Knight’s wedding, and these doubts were explained when she came face to face with her late husband’s lover Drew this week.

Her acceptance of her husband’s secret relationship has made her feel that she isn’t good enough to be anyone’s first choice. After an emotional chat with Drew, she asked her grandson Johnny to draw up a pre-nup for her and George.

In today’s episode, Johnny broke the news that it is too close to the wedding day for the pre-nup to be legally binding. But he suggested that they both make a list of their assets and agree to sign a post-nup after the wedding.

George gave Elaine a thoughtful bracelet, but in turn he discovered her list of assets. He was hurt that Elaine couldn’t trust him and questioned whether they should be getting married.

Later, Elaine apologised to Linda for hitting her, but Linda continued drinking and insulting her mum – still hurt by the revelations about her dad.

The pair eventually called a truce, with Elaine admitting that she doesn’t think George loves her. George returned, though, and was willing to sign anything to save their relationship.

In the pub, Yolande explained to Elaine that she hired Honey nearly two decades ago to set a honey trap for Patrick and see if he could be swayed.

Meanwhile, Cindy and Junior had a tense conversation where she warned him to stay out of her relationship. He called her and Ian’s upcoming wedding a “joke”, but Elaine overheard and thought that he was talking about her and George’s big day.

Elaine confronted Junior about this, and her doubts set in once again as she believed that George loves Cindy and she isn’t his first choice.

Wanting to get to the truth, Elaine was influenced by Yolande and called round to see Cindy that evening.

She asked Cindy to seduce George and honey trap him, to find out for sure which of them he truly loves. How will Cindy react?

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
