EastEnders spoilers follow from Thursday’s episode (October 10).
EastEnders has aired a huge cliffhanger, which hinted at Cindy Beale’s affair with Junior Knight being exposed after a secret conversation between Cindy and David Wicks was recorded.
In tonight’s episode, Cindy and Ian’s engagement party continued. After catching Cindy with Junior, David confronted Cindy, who said she was still in love with Junior’s dad George.
In a private conversation at Beale’s Eels, Cindy opened up about the affair, admitting that she loved George and thought about him when she was in bed with Junior.
“Do you know, sometimes I’m in bed with Junior, I close my eyes and think of George,” she told David.

Elsewhere, Junior opened up to George about a mystery woman, saying that he has developed serious feelings for her and he thinks she feels the same way.
“I really care about her. This is serious,” Junior told his Dad, before revealing that other people are involved.
After George figured out that the woman Junior was speaking about was in a relationship, he told Junior that if he and his lover feel so strongly for each other, nothing should stand in their way.

Later, David marched back into the party to tell Ian about Cindy and Junior, but Ian shut the conversation down. When David left The Vic, he received a surprise phone call from his son Joe Wicks, played by former cast member Paul Nicholls, who made a brief cameo in the episode.
Later, Cindy told Junior things were over for good, and as the episode ended, the camera panned to Freddie’s birdwatching microphone, which he had left behind at Beale’s Eels.
The device, which appeared to still be recording, had potentially captured everything David and Cindy had discussed about the affair. Will Freddie hear everything and disclose the truth?
