EastEnders spoilers follow for Thursday’s episode (October 17), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders has aired a big change for Jack Branning and Denise Fox in the show’s latest episode.
In recent episodes, separated couple Jack and Denise have become drawn to one another again and have begun to rekindle their romance.
This week, Jack was furious when he found out that Denise had lied for her daughter Chelsea and covered up her involvement in the club crush, leaving Penny to take the blame.

But when Jack asked the family to vote on whether Chelsea or Penny should take the fall, he ended up siding with Chelsea, leaving his own daughter plotting revenge against him.
In today’s episode, Jack and Denise continued to enjoy being back together, while Penny reassured Lauren that she wouldn’t do anything stupid.
However, Penny set about destroying her dad’s relationship and reminded Denise of all the hurt that Jack caused by having an affair with Stacey.

Denise refused to fall for Penny’s games, but she had second thoughts when she later arrived at The Vic to see Jack and Stacey hugging – even though they were vowing to be friends.
Meanwhile, Penny asked Harry to use the club crush information as leverage to get Jack to turn a blind eye to his dodgy dealings, then bring him down – but Harry didn’t want to be part of her plan.
Denise met Jack at home, where she told him that she wanted to talk properly about Stacey and their affair, if they were going to move forward.

The pair argued about the past and the secrets that had continued to drive them apart, and they quickly grew resentful of one another once again.
Eventually, Denise changed her mind about their reunion and submitted her divorce application, before breaking down in tears when Jack left.
Jack then had a run in with Harry, and their tense altercation ended with Jack punching Harry in the face – a violent encounter that Tommy caught on camera.

Harry later told Penny that he wanted in on her scheme, explaining that he had paid Tommy for the footage of the attack.
