EastEnders has confirmed a reunion for Jean Slater and Harvey Monroe, as they share their fears for Kat Slater.
Harvey and Jean’s relationship took a rocky turn when Jean discovered Harvey was working long hours to make money for Maya Houssain.
Harvey felt guilty after realising Maya’s husband was the man his right-wing extremist son Aaron had attempted to kill a few years ago. When he confessed his intentions, Jean decided she couldn’t trust Harvey anymore and put a break on their relationship.

However, after winning a trip to Greece on the radio, Harvey offered the tickets to Jean and Stacey, which they gratefully accepted.
In next week’s episodes, Jean returns from her holiday and quickly makes it clear that Harvey is still in the doghouse. A frosty exchange between the pair proves that all is not yet forgiven between the couple.
Keen to get back to work, Jean and Mo accost Teddy Mitchell in the Square and bag themselves a temporary cleaning job. However, Jean’s joy is short-lived when she catches up with her family.

Recent weeks have seen a child-to-parent abuse storyline unfold, with Kat’s son Tommy becoming verbally and physically abusive towards his mum. Earlier this week, Tommy punched Kat in the face after she tried to stop him from going out.
Jean realises that something is going on after hearing differing versions of events from Tommy and Kat. Confiding in Harvey, she shares her fears about Kat’s wellbeing.
The pair discuss the worrying situation but the conversation soon diverts to their relationship. Comforted by each other’s presence, they agree to try again. Can they make it work this time?
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
