EastEnders reveals Big Mo’s intriguing new money scheme

Christmas is heading to Albert Square and Big Mo has got a new money-making scheme this festive season.

The EastEnders favourite returned to the BBC soap earlier this year alongside great-grandson Freddie Slater after Laila Morse reprised her role on a permanent basis.

Her return hasn’t been without drama, and it’s set to continue in upcoming scenes as Mo makes trouble for herself at the market.

She tries to sell Christmas goods at the market without a licence, but she’s soon inspired by Harvey with a new money-making idea, which she announces to the traders.

In the café, Mo employs Kim Fox to run the PR for the scheme and entices newcomer Nicola Mitchell to sponsor it – but will this one take off?

Following EastEnders’ sensational The Six storyline last Christmas and into this year, this festive season is set to be similarly explosive as Cindy Beale’s secrets are exposed.

Cindy attempted to win back ex-husband George Knight earlier this year as the pair shared a kiss, which his now-wife Elaine Peacock found out about.

George and Elaine eventually walked down the aisle, but there were no tears shed by Cindy who had already moved on – but not with her own partner Ian, instead with George’s son Junior.

Cindy accepted Ian’s marriage proposal and called things off with Junior, but Cindy and Junior’s affair reignited with Cindy going to extreme lengths to keep it under wraps.

Kojo Asare was left fighting for his life after a shocking incident, but it might not be enough to keep their secret after a conversation between Cindy and David Wicks was previously caught on Freddie’s birdwatching microphone.

A preview for the soap’s Christmas slate reveals: “Secrets and lies are set to throw a wrecking ball into the Beale family festivities this year, as the shocking truth about Cindy will be revealed in spectacular fashion on Christmas Day.

“The incriminating evidence captured on tape will expose Cindy’s true love for ex-husband George and her scandalous affair with his son, Junior.

“Cindy has nowhere to hide as all hell breaks loose in the Beale and Knight families, with fury and accusations flying on all sides.”

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
