EastEnders has shared an update on what’s next for Kat Slater and Alfie Moon after this week’s twist in the Tommy abuse storyline.
Tommy has been violent towards Kat for a while now, and after lashing out and attacking Freddie at a family dinner this week, it was revealed that he had injured Bert and Ernie too.
Wanting to keep the family safe, Jean secretly called social services. The authorities decided Tommy couldn’t live with Kat anymore, and he went to live with Zack Hudson, who is a registered foster carer.

In scenes set to air in the coming days, there will be palpable tension between Kat and Alfie at the Minute Mart.
However, the pair need each other during this difficult time and Alfie comforts Kat. Later, the pair head to The Vic together.
Also in next week’s episodes, Jean continues to feel guilty about calling the social, and a comment from Kathy Beale doesn’t help the situation. Things get worse when Elaine Peacock starts to ask some probing questions.

There’s also another drama for her when Harvey Monroe, who recently got back in her good books after a split, tries to make a surprise romantic gesture. Unfortunately for him, Jean doesn’t turn up as she is busy trying to make amends with Kojo Asare.
Feeling rejected, Harvey goes off to see Kathy. Is something set to happen between them?
EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
