Hollyoaks has confirmed that Ste is set to discover some new evidence as his conspiracy about his late husband James Nightingale continues.
This week, Ste mistakenly thought he saw James walking into their old house, so he barged inside and confronted the new family about his false vision.
But he then overheard Rex on the phone to someone, where it was implied that he wasn’t being told the truth and that James might still be alive.

Next week, Ste looks for more clues and explains his conspiracy theory to Leela, who tells him that his mind is playing tricks on him.
The family believe that they’ve managed to get Ste back on track, after pleading with him to focus on his son Lucas, who is struggling following his breakup.
But Ste secretly continues his investigation and is shocked when he spots Rex packing up tools and a balaclava.
However, it has now been confirmed that Rex is asked to stage a fake robbery as part of Donny and Robbie’s plan, which could explain this suspicious behaviour.

New spoilers released by Hollyoaks show that Ste doesn’t give up on his mission to find out the truth about James, and he decides to search the Love Boat.
While he is there, Ste makes a huge discovery when he finds James’ tie, which brings him to the conclusion that Rex has James imprisoned somewhere.
He confronts Rex about his new theory, who is able to clear up that he had kept hold of the tie for give to Ste – but he isn’t able to explain the mysterious phone call.

Desperate for answers, Ste smashes up the Love Boat in a rage, and Joel pleads with him to stop this self-destructive behaviour.
But Ste might in fact be onto something, as later Rex is seen making yet another intriguing phone call, where he warns the person on the other end that Ste has become a problem.

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
