Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.
Home and Away‘s Tane Parata receives disappointing news about Perri Hayes on UK screens next week.
The Summer Bay gym boss feels terrible when he finds out that Perri wasn’t successful in his attempts to pursue a legal case against his abusive father Carl.
Perri recently opened up to Tane and Harper Matheson about his traumatic experiences growing up with violent Carl, who forced him to carry out criminal jobs.
Tane vowed to support Perri in court when he testifies against his father, but in upcoming scenes, it’s a promise that he’s sadly unable to keep.

The first sign of trouble comes when Perri receives a threatening note from Carl, which warns him not to testify.
Perri panics and considers skipping the court appearance, but Tane takes the frightened teenager for a walk and tries to calm him down.
Tane confidently declares that Carl can’t hurt Perri any more and points out that, if the hearing goes well, he’ll never have to see his father again.
On the day of the hearing, Tane is confused when Harper doesn’t show up to meet him and Perri as planned.

The trio had planned to head to court together, but Harper has instead rushed off to the hospital after experiencing bleeding. She’s now concerned for the wellbeing of her and Tane’s unborn baby.
Harper ignores calls from Tane at the hospital, not wanting to distract him from Perri by revealing what’s happening.
Harper’s sister Dana feels that Tane would want to know, so she intervenes by talking to him on the phone.
When Tane learns that he’s needed at the hospital straight away, he abandons his plans to support Perri and rushes to be at Harper’s side instead.

Tane arrives just in time for Harper’s ultrasound scan. There are sighs of relief all around as they hear the baby’s healthy heartbeat and receive reassurance that everything is fine.
Although Tane is on cloud nine after the touching moment, the celebratory mood doesn’t last when Rose Delaney calls to let him know that Perri’s dad was found not guilty.
After nervously facing court alone, will Perri feel that Tane’s absence led to the disappointing outcome?
