Lucky convinces Isaiah to save Lulu

Laura was alarmed when Terry told her there was a potential complication with Lulu’s surgery. Before Terry gave Laura any details, Lucky and Elizabeth happened by and overheard the conversation. Terry took Lucky and Laura to talk privately.

Terry explained that Lulu had portal vein thrombosis, meaning Lulu had a blood clot in the vein that delivered blood to the liver. The surgeon would have to remove the clot, but it dropped Lulu’s odds of having a successful transplant. Laura still wanted to proceed, but Terry cautioned her.

“At this point, we believe the surgery will be in vain. In all likelihood, it will not save Lulu,” Terry said.

Terry told Laura that Sam would be informed of this new development and would have to decide if she still wanted to donate part of her liver.

Isaiah dropped by the nurses’ station to see Elizabeth after his physical therapy. Lucas soon arrived to talk about Lulu’s ventilator malfunctioning. Something about it seemed fishy. Isaiah reiterated that he noticed the vent was too quiet when he entered Lulu’s room. When he looked at it, he saw it had powered down without sounding an alarm. All three were determined to get to the bottom of things.

Elizabeth repeated that she only heard the second alarm and immediately performed chest compressions. Lucas said that if the second alarm had not gone off, it would have been too late, and Lulu would be dead.

Lucky approached Isaiah and asked to speak to his friend privately. Elizabeth and Lucas could tell something was wrong, so they looked at her chart and saw her latest diagnosis.

In the hospital stairwell, Lucky asked Isaiah if he had ever done a transplant on someone with Lulu’s condition. Isaiah admitted he had, and the patient went on to survive.

Isaiah still didn’t feel comfortable performing the surgery and told Lucky how he had lost a patient during a transplant surgery. “I’m sorry, Lucky. I can’t save your sister,” Isaiah said.

Lucky responded, “I’m not asking you to save her. I’m just asking you to try.” Isaiah stressed that it would take a miracle for Lulu to survive, but Lucky refused to give up. “Isaiah, please, we need you,” Lucky pleaded.

After talking with Terry, Laura sat alone in the chapel. Kevin sat down next to her to comfort her. “Now it’s your turn to scream, cry, throw things. Whatever you need, I’m here,” Kevin said. Laura prayed that Sam would still choose to go ahead with the surgery.

Soon, Laura and Kevin turned around to find Lucky and Isaiah standing there. “I found a surgeon. One who could hopefully save Lulu,” Lucky said as Laura smiled.

Dante stopped by the stables to see Cody and tell him the news about Sam being Lulu’s donor. Cody was thrilled as Dante marveled at the fact that Sam was a match. “She’s selfless and does anything for the people she cares about,” Dante said of Sam.

Dante said he felt guilty for not being there for Sam as much lately, but he spent most of his free time by Lulu’s hospital bedside. He also felt guilty asking the woman he loved to make such a huge sacrifice for the other woman he loved.

Sam met with Jason and Drew in the Quartermaine solarium. Both men were shocked when Sam told them that she was a match for Lulu. Drew assured Sam that Scout and Danny could stay at the Quartermaines and be well cared for while she recovered from surgery. Sam even got Jason and Drew to agree to spend time with the kids together.

After Sam left to say goodbye to her kids and find Dante, all Jason and Drew could do was stare at each other silently.

A frantic Holly rushed into Robert’s office and told him she had some news. Robert informed Holly that he already knew because Sasha told him all about Holly’s claims that Sasha was his daughter. He said that he was running a DNA test but the results weren’t in yet.

Holly explained that by the time she realized she was pregnant, she believed Robert had been killed, as had everyone else in Port Charles. Holly kept her pregnancy a secret because she didn’t want to risk Robert’s enemies finding out about the baby. She gave birth in secret and left Sasha with her mother.

“I spent years grieving you only to find out you’d been alive all those years,” Holly said.

Robert pointed out that he was devastated when he learned that Ethan was Luke’s, so he didn’t understand Holly’s continued secrecy. “Why didn’t you tell me then that we had a daughter?” Robert asked.

“The longer the lie went on, the bigger it became. I knew how angry you’d been at Anna for hiding Robin from you. I was too cowardly to tell you that I had done the same,” Holly explained. She said she was afraid Robert would hate her. Holly thought she could have kept the secret forever, but she didn’t want to see Sasha fall in love with her cousin, Cody.

Holly was sure Sasha would hate her when the DNA results came back and proved Holly had been telling the truth. Sasha would also lose the man she loved. “You’ll be the only person she has to lean on, so look after our daughter,” Holly said.

Back in her hotel room, Holly called Sonny and told him they needed to talk. Meanwhile, Robert sat in his office and remembered when he and Holly first married.

In the Quartermaine kitchen, Sasha was surprised that Holly had told Maxie and Felicia that she was Sasha’s mother. “There is absolutely no way my mother is telling the truth about Robert Scorpio being my father,” Sasha insisted.

Maxie asked Sasha if she was sure. Sasha assumed that Holly just wanted her to cut ties with the people she loved in Port Charles so she could join Holly for her next con. Maxie didn’t believe Holly would lie about something like this. Maxie reminded Sasha that Holly had done some questionable things, “but she always ended up on the side of good at the end, right?”

Maxie admitted that she wished Sasha had told her the truth about who her mother was rather than having to hear it from Holly. Sasha apologized for hiding the truth. “I have spent most of my life ignoring the fact that I even have a mom. When you spend so much time hiding a part of yourself like that, it’s hard to open up about,” Sasha said. Sasha also vowed that Holly would not take Cody away from her.

Tracy arrived home to find Violet’s suitcase in the foyer. Brook Lynn and Chase were giving Violet a snack before Chase took her to the airport. Violet insisted she didn’t want to leave before saying goodbye to Tracy. Since Violet’s flight was delayed, Tracy had Yuri arrange a tea party for herself and Violet. Tracy was touched when Violet admitted how much she would miss her.

Violet couldn’t wait to see her dad again and start a new life in a new house but she didn’t understand why she felt happy and sad at the same time. Tracy assured Violet her feelings were normal. During their tea party, Violet was impressed because Tracy used Lila’s old tea set. Tracy even gifted Violet the tea set, but Violet insisted Tracy keep one cup so they could have virtual tea parties.

Before Chase took Violet to the airport, she asked to stop by the park to visit the bench that had been dedicated to Gregory. “I want to visit Grandpa’s bench one last time,” Violet said. Brook Lynn choked up when Violet said she would miss her the most. Both Tracy and Brook Lynn were in tears by the time Chase walked out of the house with Violet.
